Afternoon drive time shows

Unread post by windsorjoe »

My first choice on the ride home from work is Valenti. He’s off this week, so it’s caused me to flip through the dial. Mitch is good, but sometimes they try to pick topics not in their age range. Today, they were talking about new songs. Sebastian Gorka just lies and doesn’t know what he is talking about. Darryl Wood was still stuck on the Trump election loss. I ended up on Hannity, which is a pretty good program. Is there a show I’m missing that I should check out?

The AA Revolving Door Show on WPON is worth a listen.

I think windsorjoe is looking for shows to listen to during afternoon drive time. But thanks for info on programming earlier in the day on that Part 15 station in Walled Lake.

4-6 is drive time.

He’s looking for spoken word or at least variety it seems. Unless you want religion, there isn’t much else besides what he’s mentioned. Sports betting on 1270 is awful.

Bless your heart for not mentioning the station and time slot.

windsorjoe:
I googled it so you don't have to. Looks likes she's on 800AM from 2pm to 6pm. Monday thru Friday.

Sorry--since you are from Windsor, I just figured you already knew of her.

"Drive with Rich Terfry" on CBC Radio 88.9 FM is an excellent alternative: https://www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-259-drive

I'll second AM950 WWJ. I often put it on thinking I'll just listen til traffic and weather is over. Next thing I know 30 minutes has gone by and I'm still listening.

Valenti sucks - how are you entertained? Do you volunteer for root canals without numbing your gums?

If Hannity is acceptable to you, you might enjoy Al Kresta. He has a conservative Catholic view of things, and doesn't recite the standard conservative talking points. According to this web page (https://www.ewtn.com/radio/shows/kresta ... -afternoon), he is heard each day "on more than 350 EWTN radio affiliates, Sirius XM and multiple webstreams."
