I haven't heard that being the cause anywhere.

I was very impressed by how good he sounded in that time slot.
Who did mornings at CSX when KC was afternoons? Was it J.J.? Or, was this when Deminski and Doyle was at CSX?

I met KC super-briefly once on radio row at the Auto Show. Ran into him at the Fox Theater six months later, and he came up to me and remembered me. That blew me away. I was just a guy talking about The Rolling Stones for two minutes. I can’t fathom how or why he remembered that interaction of ours, but it was pretty cool.

KC moved to mornings in 2010, then Podell took over afternoons.

It makes you wonder if it was some type of accident, like a fall. It ultimately doesn't matter - a person is gone from this world much too soon, and my heart breaks for his family.

Deminski and Doyle did mornings right after JJ and Lynne if memory serves. Great on 97.1 in afternoon drive, not so much on CSX mornings.

MW was quite a fan of D&D on CSX. He loved the "voice of the motor city's workforce" tag! 😆

The one article said he had a short-term illness, but his passing was sudden and unexpected, per his wife.

Indeed, I used to mock that on-air proclamation for its absurdity.
What was absurd about the "workforce" tag? It seems like in an industrial setting, rock music is fairly popular with the workers.

D&D got me through a dead end job working for the Marouns. I’d give anything to hear another hour about Rudy’s shitsock or Beaver’s truck with a tree growing out of it. The callers were great. Obese chicken wing eaters and their very own wack pack

RIP KC…… :-(

Agreed on D&D and they’re getting me thru some sh!+ times too.

Some folks don’t understand that this is a loss to me and others that felt welcomed to their radio program just by them being themselves and doing what they do.

That’s not just a job it’s a personality and our Detroit tv & radio family has lost one of our greats.

Rest in peace Casual One.

Thanks for being part of our lives.
