I don't watch 62 so I can't answer my own question. When they are in the studio, how long are they on before they have to take a break?

Seems over at 4 & 7, no one can anchor for more than a half hour without a shift change.

"All new at 6 are the same people that were on from 5 to 5:30".

Even with taking more time off, is the amount of time actually in front of the camera the same?

The benefits are the best in the market for anchors and meteorologists. They begin with 3 or 4 weeks vacation time depending on contract, several days of personal time, a week or two of sick time, etc. CBS recognizes the national holidays as paid holidays as well which allows more paid time off. For producers the pay is also the highest in the market which allows for higher holiday 2.5x pay.
In addition many of the staff at all stations take more time off in November and December.
