Detroit Classic Rock competition

Unread post by Greg Buben »

I just looked at the Grand Rapids/ West Michigan section of the Buzzboard and they said that former afternoon drive
host and music director of WLAV in Grand Rapids is heading for Detroit and will be on WLLZ. That's wonderful for Rob to
advance up to the major market of Detroit. If any on air person can make WLLZ more competitive with WCSX for the
classic rock audience it is Rob. If I-Heart allows him some freedom to program WLLZ in a better way than it is now I
really think that he could improve the ratings of WLLZ. Because of Rob is a good man on and off the air I wish him the
best of luck with his new job at WLLZ. Because of this move I won't advocate WLLZ flipping to another format at this time
but if I-Heart won't allow him any freedom then his presence won't make any difference in the Detroit classic rock radio
competition between WCSX and WLLZ.

Wait, you're saying they played the same song twice in 10 minutes?
