The Roar 93.5/99.1 is done... for real this time

From RadioInsight.

"The UK based Podcast Radio Network has launched on Beasley Media Group properties in four markets.

Beasley has flipped “Fox Sports Charlotte” 94.7 W234BY/103.7 WSOC-HD3 Charlotte NC, Classic Hip Hop “The Bounce” 101.5 W268AH Bonita Springs/96.5 W243BM Suncoast Estates/103.9 WXKB-HD2 Cape Coral/Fort Myers FL, Sports “The Roar” 93.5 W228CJ/99.1 W256EA/WCSX-HD2 Detroit, and Business “Money Talk 1010” WJBR Seffner/Tampa FL to “Podcast Radio US“.

The Podcast Radio US programming consists of short segments from various podcasts with our brief sampling including clips of Alan Alda interviews with Paul McCartney and Carol Burnett, someone discussing how glass is made, a conversation about the steel industry, and a promo for WRIF Detroit host Meltdown’s show."

What a waste.... So many things they could of done.... Motown, oldies, smooth jazz.... Oh well.

Podcasts on the radio -- considering that people listen to them over the internet at their leisure, it's a format that no one except the suits asked for.

Could these be the FM translators Adell is looking at?

WIOT and WLLZ both run half-hour shortened podcasts during weekend overnights.

Nobody wants to hear those formats either. If they do then just go online. Isn't that the answer nowadays?

This could be a temporary move. I could also see Beasley selling them soon.

I liked the ROAR(minus H U G E). The problem is I could only pick up the station when I visited my doctor in Rochester.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

NEVER EVER COMPLY WITH FASCISM!!!

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Now that The Roar is gone does Birach have anything to lose if AM 1160 becomes Sports? Why not double your audience so you can have a 0.1 in the ratings?
