That must have been some kind of error… they were talking storms yesterday.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 9:01 am LMAO - weather forecast on WWJ called for sunny & hazy skies today.
Do they not have access to windows and a live radar over there?
Showers and storms are popping up in quite a few places. Zero mention of precip in the forecast I just heard.

Well that’s weird.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 10:28 am At 9:08, the AccuWeather guy began with "we're going to need to make a change to the forecast..."
To answer Bill, heavy rain would help to clear the fumes out of the atmosphere, but any relief would be shortlived unless a big change to the mid and upper air pattern takes hold.
Heavy rains where the fires are burning would also help.

A couple of hours later sunny and hazy is correct at least in eastern Washtenaw county.

I noticed rain in Lyon Township, around Eight Mile and Pontiac Trail, but it was bone dry everywhere else. Weird.

Nothing weird at all. That's what the phrase "scattered showers" means. Or, as Sonny Eliot would say, a "renegade shower"Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 4:42 pm I noticed rain in Lyon Township, around Eight Mile and Pontiac Trail, but it was bone dry everywhere else. Weird.

It was weird for me because I was everywhere from Dexter to Macomb Twp that day.Colonel Flagg wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 4:26 pmNothing weird at all. That's what the phrase "scattered showers" means. Oakland Township...MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 8:34 am Hey Matt Benz of AccuWeather: THERE IS NO CITY IN OUR AREA CALLED "OAKLAND" !!!
One would think the station's ND or PD would get off their butt and inform him of that fact.
