Re: Ron Cameron
I will admit as I am on the patio enjoying this great weather day, it’s a bit odd to not have the sounds of summer Ron Cameron not on, until tomorrow…:
Re: Ron Cameron
Nicely done, Bobbert! reckon you’re one of those Buzzboarders who don’t much cotton to Ron.
Yesterday’s show was a bit of the Mickey Mouse Club - as always - with the Maury Povich Show thrown in for good measure.

Re: Ron Cameron
Thanks for the kudos on the Mickey Mouse parody. This one almost wrote itself, thanks to the station complaints on the recent shows and the 1997 recording.

Re: Ron Cameron
It won't happen with Sima owning the station, he'll gladly take the cash. It's his dumb advertisers that stick with him, even at a pea shooter station like PON. Until they realize they're just tossing money into the toilet, Ron will continue to show up and put out this unbelievably piss poor product on the air. Props to Ron for the hustle, making his living and getting free meals off these ignorant business people.Willie108 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 10:43 pm With Ron on Fridays now, maybe management...if they're in the building listening, will finally pull the plug on Ron for good. If management doesn't know this is REALLY bad radio, no matter the money Ron gives them, they need their head examined. They've got to realize they're better off playing oldies, than putting up with Ron bashing the station, his former station, his egotistical tirades, his total rudeness on the air, and his self centeredness. No other station in the world would put up with this schmuck.

Re: Ron Cameron
I am guessing Ron will ask for a update on Rich’s book tomorrow
Re: Ron Cameron
I wish Rich would ask Ron - who you just know has neither seen a copy, let alone read a single word - his favorite part of the book.radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 2:50 pm I am guessing Ron will ask for a update on Rich’s book tomorrow
Re: Ron Cameron
The end of today's Tigers game should be good for a few fireworks tomorrow. One of Ron's whipping boys—Eric Haase—missed a pitch that hit one of Ron's beloved saints—an umpire—in the face and knocked him down. I hope Kurt calls in and gets into an argument with Ron about how that play developed. What Haase might have done differently, what the umpire might have done differently.

Was thinking the same Bobbert, the minute it happened, I thought, well I know what Ron is going to open up with tomorrow. A way to slam HasseBobbert wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 6:24 pm The end of today's Tigers game should be good for a few fireworks tomorrow. Re: Ron Cameron
Just a reminder to all of us “Cameron crazies” 11-1 today, I had forgot until I saw a tweet from “Ron” to remind us 11-1 today

Re: Ron Cameron
Is Kincaide on for both hours? How does he feel about Jake Rogers? That's the real question.
Does Ron even know Monty Williams is the new Pistons head coach?

Re: Ron Cameron
Yes, Rich is scheduled for both hours. I'd like Mr. Positive to ask Rich to weigh in on Ron's allegations about Murray Howe's parentage. I'd be interested in seeing if, like a bewildered Nick Libett, he would be gobsmacked by them. Or if he would discreetly avoid the subject.
Ron didn't lead with the Williams hiring. Instead, he opened with a fresh take on the Tigers' broadcasting team. He didn't address the hiring until asked.
Re: Ron Cameron
According to the WPON schedule, the lead-in program for Sportstalk with Ron Cameron is "MANORANJAN," which I'm guessing is music from India. Brings back memories of WCAR, when Ron's show was bracketed by all kinds of ethnic music.
As they might say on American Bandstand, it has a good beat and you can dance to it.
