I'm currently at an Airbnb in the UP that does not have a bedside clock - how will I handle it???

I'm sure you'll handle it well. I will too.

But it was such an absurd reason to remove the clocks. "Because they make the room look out of date."

Are they afraid some people will refuse to stay there if there is an old fashioned clock in the room?

I stayed at the Aloft at the David Whitney Building in downtown Detroit. Very cool art deco decor. Rooms were done very well.

I do own a cell phone. The day I retired I put it into a drawer and it's still there. Probably wouldn't even work anymore.

There is something to be said for ambiance. The retro look fits perfectly for the overall feat of this hotel
