Gaylord tornado 1 year later

Covers all of Northern Lower Michigan (from Ludington to Tawas northward), as well as the Straits Area and Soo Region.

The scars were still very much evident when I went up in February. You could easily trace the path of where the twister went through the city.
My uncle lives near Johannesburg and the tornado went well north of there, so fortunately he wasn't affected. He didn't even lose power.

My grandparents have a house about a mile north of where the tornado went through.

We don't see many weather events of this magnitude north of the 45th.

It is significant to a relative many, now a part of NMI history, and the TV look-back took much more effort to produce than anything that comes dribbling out of a Grayling keyboard.

Exactly. I dare anyone to call this "fluff" to the faces of loved ones of the two people who lost their lives.
