So basically, every time Fox News settles a lawsuit, the 8 PM host is fired.

In hindsight, maybe Tucker should have seen this one coming given the somewhat similar circumstances surrounding Bill O'Reilly's ouster.

There seems to be truth to that.

Side note: My mom is PISSED! She’s a religious watcher of Fox from 8pm until she falls asleep. She just called me and asked how to play podcasts on her TV… lol

Mr Carlson, the top-rated host on the conservative network, also appeared to denigrate the Trump presidency in these private messages, despite lauding his achievements on air.

"That's the last four years. We're all pretending we've got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it's been is too tough to digest. But come on. There isn't really an upside to Trump."

This isn't going to help Fox in their pending lawsuits though...
