Novi looks quite a bit worse than my area right now. Snow is already starting to stack up over there. Ditto Howell.

Out here on 94 west of Ann Arbor right now… it’s been 30-40mph and blowing sideways at times since I was north of Jackson.

My friend in Jackson was saying it is getting bad out there. They are supposed to see as much as a foot of snow.

Just heard thunder at my house!

Just saw lightning, too. Second strike of the evening I've seen, in fact. Light rain is mixing with snow here right now. Melting big flakes are causing issues with radar imagery. Dave Rexroth is clueless (as usual). He thinks all those returns on radar are depictive of ultra heavy snow actually reaching the ground. He's wrong.

That thunder woke me up from a snooze!

Anyway, I'm hearing (low end) 70K to (high end) 200K without power. Here we fuckin go again...SAY YES TO MICHIGAAAAAAAN.

Fox 2 said 3-5 inches for northern Wayne and southern Macomb County Thursday evening for this storm. Definitely messed that up.

My initial thinking for Friday is medium confidence of at least 3 to 6 inches of snow for a good swath of SE Michigan. Areas near the Ohio border are likely to see lower snow totals as a result of a wintry mix.

Good! I still have a little two-stroke gas I need to use up before the season is over!

Well, crap.

With the heavy "almost solid" snow around here, even moving just about 5" I ran through all the gas I had and had to mix up another gallon!! I don't think I've EVER gone though a whole tank in an individual episode of clearing snow, but this time was about a tank and a half.
