Re: November 2022 Ratings
Not too much of note in the last book before Santa takes over the numbers.
WDRQ crashed in the numbers, leaving it back into its normal range.
Alt ties its station high at 2.4. I guess it will take some time to tell if the new lineup was a good idea.

Re: November 2022 Ratings
Adding WXYT-FM’s 6.8 plus the stream’s 1.7 makes for a healthy 8.5

Including streaming, The Ticket has been #1 for a while. They clearly are doing something very right over there.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Some demo rank highlights:

Fault 98.7 is now in a tie for sixth in A18-34, which is probably their best showing so far, although it bears noting that particular age group isn't all that monetizable for radio these days.

Re: November 2022 Ratings
Not much to e-mail home about. 93.1's ratings seem to always be a see-saw. 98.7 will likely stay on for awhile, unless the ratings dip back into the 1's territory. Honestly, the main reason I like 98.7 is because I don't have to hear Queen, GNR, Metallica, or other crust bucket butthole rock.
It's been suggested I know but, I would like see them shift to a semi classic alternative format. Like what 89x was in the 90s and early 2000s.
WLLZ IMO is the station people tune in when WRIF or WCSX is playing a song they don't like.

Re: November 2022 Ratings
I won't predict the business side of U.S. based radio stations anymore! If 98.7 stays with what it has right for a long time I don't mind. If a WWJ simulcast happens, I couldn't tell you when if at all that will begin.
AM radio and TV are even more unpredictable to me. I didn't know that Catholic radio was coming to 1030 AM or that TV 20 would become independent.

Other than New Hick-Hop 93-1 collapsing back to normal levels, seems to be same as it ever was. Cumulus' stations continue to be irrelevant, Fault and Fake Wheelz continue to tread water, and listeners continue to love hearing the same Led Zeppelin and Red Hot Chili Peppers songs 30 times a day.

93.1's playlist is awful; completely agree.
WYCD has been doing a better job than usual with its song choices lately.

They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Yep, I am convinced WLLZ has few P1 listeners. For me, theyre the station that still happens to be on my presets but only gets a chance when other stations are in commercial or are playing stuff I dont care to hear. I suspect many folks feel that way. They are milquetoast in every single way.
Fuck you WLLZ and every decision maker there.

Re: November 2022 Ratings
I was really amazed to see that "The Ticket" is number one with a sports format. All sports radio is a bottom feeder
format in Grand Rapids which is a much smaller market than Detroit but still a sports station above all commercial FM
music formats is strange. Also what was strange is how the successful classic rock station WCSX dropped to second
place and went from a 7.4% share in October down a complete per cent to a 6.4% share in November. The classic rock
competition WLLZ didn't seem to get that much of a gain so it's not that WLLZ gained that much from WCSX dropping
a complete per cent. In fact all WLLZ could increase up to was a 3.2% share from an October 2.9% share. This seems to
suggest to me that less classic rockers in the Detroit area were surveyed in the November ratings.

Re: November 2022 Ratings
When comes to music it wouldn't bother me if most of the 80's Rock started being phased out from the radio dial. I think that will take awhile. Remember how Oldies stations used to play 1960's music to death? It is like that all over again on both the Classic Hits and Classic Rock stations when it comes to 80's Rock.
When it comes to Sports Radio, Detroit is the opposite of Los Angeles. Another city that is not much of a Sports market as far as radio goes is Toronto. I don't think it ever was.
Any major Metro with tons of traffic seems to support their All News station.
