The River 100.5 switched to Christmas music this morning @ 9:00a, with the help of Fox17's Tessa DiTirro... As expected, the first song was the beloved Mariah Carey tune "All I Want for Christmas is You" :shock:

Beloved is highly subjective. I still wish stations would wait until at least after Thanksgiving, like they used to, but, hey, maybe that's just me.

It is not just you. Like Black Friday sales which are already starting, Christmas music is starting too early.

Should be for every Christmas song played prior to Thanksgiving a Reindeer is killed. Or a elf gets his b###s zapped with an electronic shock

I agree. It is still too early for Christmas music. We need to have Thanksgiving music first.

Not balding, perhaps may never, but otherwise guilty as charged. Just reflecting on those halcyon days of radio youth, when things seemed more sensible, somehow, including even AC stations waiting until the week of Christmas to start going wall-to-wall with it. But, hey, whatever gets those ratings, right?
