Re: News 8 at 4pm
I knew that Wood TV was going to put a 4PM newscast to replace Ellen. Fox17 now has a rival at 4PM and isn't the only one anymore and I wonder if News 8 will beat Fox17 at 4PM with the news?

Choke me with a spoon. How many hours of friggin' local news does G.R. need?
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.
Re: News 8 at 4pm
News 8 is getting closer to making their old slogan "24 Hour" a reality. I took a look at a typical weekday schedule on their website and added in the upcoming changes taking effect September 12 (News 8 @ 4 replacing Ellen and Days of Our Lives moving to Peacock, being replaced with an afternoon national newscast from NBC).
WOOD will be airing six and a half hours of local news each day and four hours from NBC. These ten and a half hours do not include Inside Edition, TMZ, Eight West or Today which may or may not be considered news related programming. If those are included, the total grows to eighteen hours.
The only definitely not news programming will be Rachel Ray (2-3pm, 1 hour), NBC primetime (8-11pm, 3 hours) and the 2 hour late night block (11:30pm-1:30am)

Re: News 8 at 4pm
I agree too much news in GR as not much happens around here I know local news isn't meant to be watched from 4PM to 6:30PM or 7PM in Fox17's case errs 7:30PM. I only really watch for weather and sports from time to time largely just weather. Since all that local news is if it bleeds it leads. I was surprised that Wood TV is putting on TMZ Live at 3PM as I thought in 2019 they should've tried to get Kelly Clarkson or Tamaron Hall talker and moved Dr. Oz to one of the sister stations in my opinion. It just seems odd for Wood TV airing TMZ Live in the afternoon.
