Abc12 breaking point
My contact there says they still have no potential candidates for any position. They will keep cycling through people for Cheri's old spot on the weekends. Brad's position is gone it won't be filled and no one new on sports. I've seen other stations hiring. WEYI has hired so has WNEM. Do you think 12s reputation of a place to go to for abuse has finally caught up to them? They also told me they're hoping that Nd will be gone in Sept and that the new overlords won't let the GM fire her? Anyone else heard this?

Owner Byron Allen has been a H*** disappointment. TV 6 in Marquette does a better job. 12 looks like a public access training ground. Matt and Angie should have left a long time ago. Using them as weekend anchors is a slap in their face. Pathetic.

Add to that 2 of their biggest and longest ad clients reducing their ad buys and eventually leaving, and they have a mess on their hands.

The lack of staff has caught up with them. Denise had to produce and booth all of the evening shows one day last week. The people they have right now with no ties to that area are gone. Someone else is going to pick them up the first moment there's an opportunity.

I don't know how they did it, but they pulled off the fireworks show. Wasn't the best, but certainly wasn't the worst.

I was the 30 something person to leave under The current ND. Those who worked there in the beginning part of the pandemic *know* why the revolving door kept going faster and faster..
Two mmj’s didn’t make it 90 days.
Assignment editor didn’t even make it two weeks.
One producer just stopped showing up after a while— all her hires.
Hot. Mess.

Why would the ABC 12 ND leave in September? She does not have a contract that expires then. She does not have a contract period.Jack5o2soco wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 8:31 am My contact there says they still have no potential candidates for any position. The sinking of the Titanic was more graceful.
Re: Abc12 breaking point
Why doesn't Byron Allen put some money into his local TV stations and pay his staff better wages as it seems he likes to buy stuff on the cheap like buying Black News Channel for $11 million dollars blames the cable companies why BNC had low ratings. Newsflash Byron the management of BNC didn't do a good job of promoting the network and not many wanted to watch it because it was news on the cheap. You just shakedown anyone until they cave and get your way no one watches the crappy shows you make or the networks either.
You don't need that $80 million that you make as a CEO to give the local TV stations staff health care and give back to them and not be cheap and low pay either, I know that isn't just a Byron Allen thing as Sinclair, Nexstar, Cox, etc do the same thing as well.

How long before they replace the 4 to 6.30 block with Newsy?
