Yeah, but even though the likes of The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal said Miggy deserved to be on the team as the Tigers’ representative (a selection, he noted, that would also have avoided the need to somehow find someone else from the team), he goes in as a legend pick of the Commissioner. So Ron can dismiss this as a mere honorary award. Unless the $100,000 contractual incentive kicks in. If that’s the case, Ron & Windsor Dave will have to be talked off the ledge.
Well deserved selection Miggy! I heard Ron will be spearheading the bottle drive to assist Chris Ililtch fund the bonus money owed to Miguel for his worthy selection to the AL All Star Team.

Well hello everyone welcome to your weekly pre game edition of Sportstalk, where we speculate on what topics may be talked about on the longest running Sportstalk radio show
Out of the gate: The player affectionally known around these parts as “combero” Miguel Cabrera , was added to the all star team via the commissioner for what I would look at as a lifetime achievement award. What anger will Ron have and will caller Dave disagree with this move!
Tonight’s guest, for many months in what I think started in the later winter, then spring and now in summer and mostly likely to take us to fall, who would it be from The Who’s who of possible guests ron has promised. Or will it be Ron’s favorite, three hours of open call.
The ever popular player letter segment, what kind of banter will Ron and caller Kurt get into.
Will Ron continue to complain about Matt Sheperd and his excitement over tiger plays?

Ron seems to be getting upset at your Buzzboard references. Maybe if you bring us up in the form of a question, that would work better. Just grab something from our preshow prep. This week, you could ask, "The Buzzboard wants to know what you think of Miguel Cabrera being named to the All-Star Team." That way, you would give us recognition and also appeal to Ron's self-interest, which is absolutely necessary with an egotist like Ron.
Anyway, just a suggestion, and we always appreciate the mentions. It helps contribute to the wide-ranging Ron Cameron community.

He's up to the letter J. It will be interesting how many starting pitchers he picks, with Hall of Famers Walter Johnson, Randy Johnson, Addie Joss, and Ferguson Jenkins (AKA one of Cowboy's many professional athlete relatives).
