I had no idea either, but it's rare to be able to connect with both conservative and liberal audiences. Joe does a pretty good job with that.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

NEVER EVER COMPLY WITH FASCISM!!!

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Seems many like myself didn't follow him to Spotify. The app sucks and I refuse to put it on my phone, I do have it on my home computer but I don't listen podcasts sitting in front of my computer.

Taken altogether, The Verge’s data findings suggest that Rogan has lost impact and relevance since going exclusive to Spotify. A sizable portion of his audience likely didn’t follow him when he made the jump.

I have the Spotify family plan anyway. The interface is klunky sometimes, but still easier to navigate than Google Play Music. Rogan's move to Spotify also factored into my choice (although his show is available without a paid subscription).

That being said, Spotify's podcast interface leaves much to be desired. The lack of an auto-download feature is perhaps my biggest gripe, and judging by their forums, I'm not alone.

As for the price tag Spotify paid to get Rogan, time will tell. Aside from the revenue potential of his show, the telling factor will be how many folks who followed him signed up for and maintain paid plans. Whatever the case, they got a lot of advertisement out of the deal.

Spotify has purged over 100 episodes of Rogan's show now.
