Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
What is Ron getting at when he keeps saying that Shepard needs the job?
Re: Ron Cameron
Why is Ron allowed to laugh when Dickerson & Price aren't?! What's so funny, Ron?
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron's not taking any more (non-existent) callers.
Re: Ron Cameron
Martin and Ron messed up Mark-From-Warren's weekly imitation of Helen Thomas. First with the phone problem, then the inane chatter afterwards.
Re: Ron Cameron
Yeah, their banter in these matters always follows the same, cringeworthy script. Whatever is the opposite of chemistry, these two have it in spades.
Re: Ron Cameron
The new Tigers PR guy’s job must be on the line. He doesn’t know who Ron is. That Mike Ilitch “idolized” him.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron again promised a guest next week, even though he says the “people love the open line.”
Re: Ron Cameron
Kurt, give it up, Ron will never turn on Avila. Now he’s saying we need to give him another 2-3 years. Remember that the next time he rails on others for being homers, & that he, alone, tells it like it is.
Re: Ron Cameron
At what point - if ever - does Kurt realize that Ron is talking out of his ass?!
Re: Ron Cameron
And when exactly did Ron have this discussion with Steve Stone - who he respects more than anyone else in baseball - about how highly he rates the Tigers organization?! Can’t be any later than 2019.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron’s going to get “rid of email” if he doesn’t get more than the one email (from Martin) a day.

Re: Ron Cameron
I caught a bit of Friday’s show. At the top of the noon hour when Martin was giving the station ID, he referred to Ron as “Ron Cammon”. I also enjoyed the ad read that he said “formerly-runned” instead of “family runned”. After I heard some paper shuffling, I had to get back to work. Riveting radio!
Re: Ron Cameron
I was looking for some information on Norm Plummer, who got Ron started on the radio, and found this interesting link from a book about Detroit sports broadcasters:
https://books.google.com/books?id=oJR_6 ... WJ&f=false
It lands on a page that talks about Plummer (page 88). Scroll up a little and you'll see an interesting blurb about Cameron (page 82).
