The great irony is that the decision was made because the word "evolved from a description of a person’s skin color to signify a race and culture, and deserves the uppercase treatment much the way other ethnic terms do," but doesn't that same logic apply to the word white, since it is often used in phrases such as white privilege, white guilt, and white supremacy?
