With people going back to work now and things slowly re-opening, if they had stuck with AC I think things would have rebounded. Still, they weren't completely that bad off. Now, this is unsustainable. If I recall, Alt 106.7 came in at a 1.4 in there last book, after the change to WLLZ.

Myself, I'd like to see The Breeze return. 106.7 and 101.1 seem to be somewhat filling the void, for mainstream 90s Alternative. WRIF more so.

They were like 4.3 the period right before the switch. They were actually ahead of WNIC.
If they had kept Christmas music, they likely would have beat them in the holiday ratings too.

They're not going back to The Breeze. Because that would mean someone at the corporate level has to admit they fucked up.

I mean, when this format/branding isn't working in fucking FRISCO, you know you're not doing something right.

Check out the FB page for Alt 103.7 DFW. You think we're brutal here? You ain't seen nothing yet.

This seems to be an ENTERCOM issue.

Alternative stations by Hubbard, Cox and even iHeart are quite successfull around the country.

Broadcasters have brought former formats back many times. Cumulus bringing back Love 105 in Minneapolis-St. Paul comes to mind. 100.7 The Zone in Toledo, 95.7 in Philadelphia did Hot/modern AC twice(Max then Mix),

A slew of others too. Now, I can tell you Alt won't last and I can't say for sure what would be next, whenever that does occur. However, they didn't have a bad thing going. So I think it's an option, it could come back under a new name or possibly be more like, say Today's/Magic 105.1 was.

The Alt format has not done well in many markets. Also, if you ever go to SAN Francisco CA, don't call it " Frisco", locals aren't to keen on that and lay off the caffeine there dude. :)

You seem to be high on energy, judging by your posts. I'm about to go to bed myself, my morning starts around 1pm.
