Sex for money now ok in Washtenaw County?

Sounds like the prosecutor there is finding more and more crimes he's not going to prosecute.

Think the short-term hotel/motel business in the country is going to explode? Good time to do some investing?? :D

If hard criminals are paroled early because of sex workers, I say that's pretty reasonable. Just as long as the workers are not indentured.

Sex for money should be legal and regulated as it is in Nevada. Laws against prostitution and drugs create an underground that does far more harm than such laws do good.

Sex for money has been legal for years. Anyone that has a much younger wife will attest to this.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

My concern is that sex trafficking could increase.

It's consensual sex only, so this would likely DECREASE trafficking.

You don't know that. Deviants are also looking to push the envelope.

Many college coeds have sugar daddies, and probably have had for decades or more. So is this really new?

I happen to agree. And has been for a long time, and at very high levels. Check Epstein's "Little Black Book", which lists the phone numbers for his "Michigan home" in Green Lake Township. It was just released in a document dump last night.

So do you think Savit's decision impacts it either way? My thinking is that if consensual sex transactions are de facto legal, it discourages sex workers from getting involved with criminal management.

Eh, you think the mob is just going to hand over their livelihood? These girls aren't making the choice to be in the economy like is the case in Amsterdam.

I think some oversight is still required.
