Sinclair Headline News on CW46
Re: Sinclair Headline News on CW46
Another setback for Sinclair’s National Desk program currently ramping up...
The guy in charge of this project at Sinclair corporate (failed former local TV news Director Mark Ginther) has been off the job for weeks now battling the coronavirus bug.
https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2020/ ... ling-covid
But our bosses at the Corporate Death Star in Baltimore continue to promote must-run national propaganda stories that COVID-19 is essentially no worse than the flu.
I guess they should interview Mark as part of their coverage.
And while we’ve had restrictions on travel, it seems our corporate bosses don’t have any problem with non-essential travel. Gotta love the double standards at Sinclair!

Re: Sinclair Headline News on CW46
I'm seeing ads for this airing from 6-7 on WSMH. Is it only airing for an hour in Flint?
Re: Sinclair Headline News on CW46
I saw the promo tonight on CW7 it said at the end 6AM to 9AM.

Sinclair’s “The National Desk” national morning newscast debuts Monday. The 6am hour will be broadcast on FOX 66. The 7-9am segment will be on CW 46.

Can someone from 25-66 management (yes we all know you read the Buzzboard and post anonymously), why the ASSistant GM/Promotions Director is spending so much time promoting a show that will directly compete with our already ratings-challenged local news broadcast?
Can you also explain why the In Over Her Head News Director and Morning EP Matt have NO plans to make sure local viewers are staying with NBC25 Today and FOX66 Mornings?

Re: Sinclair Headline News on CW46
Not an impressive debut this morning. The National Desk looked like a poor man’s Today Show. Lots of CNN video during its national segments on Trump, Biden, COVID, MLK Day.
Sinclair positioned the newscast as news without opinion. Then they include Fox News flunkee James Rosen and his slanted news stories.
They said they wanted to make a newscast that reflects all of America... with its 70 news producing stations across the country... then they do the same segments as the established network morning newscasts.
I give Sinclair’s National Desk even less time than Nexstar’s low rated News Nation newscasts.
Good ideas that failed in the execution phase.
It’s only being promoted to current Sinclair audience, so we’re only hurting our local newscasts.

News without opinion? Yet on the newscast’s debut they interview 25 owner and so-called “political insider” Armstrong Williams.
https://nbc25news.com/news/nation-world ... cal-divide
They can’t even go one day without lying to us and our viewers about being opinion-free.

Re: Sinclair Headline News on CW46
Got to finally interview your boss Sinklair and air how bad 25-66 really is to Armstrong Williams?
Go Pistons, Let's Go Redwings.
Re: Sinclair Headline News on CW46
Armstrong doesn’t interact with us little people. He’s too busy promoting Armstrong Williams.
Armstrong once had a fit because we didn’t provide him someone to do his makeup. It was hilarious watching the former GM and News Director scramble... because Armstrong needs to be pampered wherever he goes.
Armstrong once refused to get out of the car in a run down part of Flint despite asking to interview people affected by the Flint water crisis.
The guy is a joke of a station owner.

Our “commentary free” national morning newscast from the corporate Death Star continues to push its right wing agenda.
https://www.mediamatters.org/sinclair-b ... -dangerous
Our award winning anchor Jan Redcoat continues to fail to provide any type of balanced look at issues like the impact of business closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses are hurting, no doubt. But you’d think one of the largest local station owners could actually have a real discussion on the range of issues about reopening the economy... including how we’ve already seen that reopening restaurants, movie theaters, gyms, etc. when the virus isn’t under control and vaccines are not yet available for the majority of the population will lead to more problems. There’s no discussion about how the previous administration ignored this and the lack of safety and confidence is a barrier for many people to return to stores and restaurants. Until people feel safe, people won’t go out to eat, to shop in brick and mortar stores.
Of course, you won’t get that perspective from The National Desk. Why? Because it doesn’t align with their political agenda and bias.
Trump may be out of office, but Sinclair is still trying to suck up to him... either to get him to join Sinclair or at least not to become a competitor.

Re: Sinclair Headline News on CW46
Has any of your news stories been on The National Desk Sinklair? Or have they not used anything from 25/66 since The National Desk doesn't care what happens in the Flint area.

Re: Sinclair Headline News on CW46
I will not watch any Sinclair-owned or operated station. They are purveyors of false information.
