WUDT 23
Re: WUDT 23
Good weather for work outside before winter.
Their FCC CP license runs to 11/05/2021, but they should move it sooner to play nicely in the broadcasting sandbox.

Re: WUDT 23
I think they'll move once WNWO in Toledo fires up its more powerful transmitter and causes massive interference to it... 275 kW at just 75 km (45 miles)... yeah. that won't be pretty.

Re: WUDT 23
I asked WNWO and they brought that new transmitter online on Sept 26. The two signals are fighting each other so much now I get nothing on RF23. Pure co-channel hell.RingtailedFox wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 2:12 pm I think they'll move once WNWO in Toledo fires up its more powerful transmitter and causes massive interference to it... 275 kW at just 75 km (45 miles)... yeah. that won't be pretty.

Re: WUDT 23
I bet if WNWO were to file an interference complaint with the FCC, Daystar will be told that they *must* vacate the frequency, since their unprotected low-power station is interfering with a protected full-power station....

Re: WUDT 23
No longer seeing WUDT on 23. on my old Channel Master DVR I see a very weak signal only 14, and no quality. My other TVs don't pick it up at all saying weak signal. Checked 8 and see no signal there at all, not even a small one on my Channel Master DVR.
Is WUDT finally off the air?

Re: WUDT 23
I don't know... i have my antenna aimed at Toledo and I still don't detect a trace of WNWO on UHF 23....

Re: WUDT 23
At this point it’s a Sinclair station versus a religious one on RF23. Let them cancel each other out. No big loss.
Re: WUDT 23
I just did a scan of all my UHF frequencies and labelled all that I pick up.
I'm definitely picking up signal on RF23, but not detecting any channels. I'm guessing it is heavy co-channel from WUDT blocking me from getting WNWO. You can see a lot of the other station have less signal than RF23, but I pick up those pretty good.

Nice chart, how did you generate that?km1125 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 2:04 pm I just did a scan of all my UHF frequencies and labelled all that I pick up.

Re: WUDT 23
I don't even notice WUDT 23 signal since I delete it from my channel list anytime I am forced to do a rescan. WHNE-LD on 3 has been going in and out lately, I wonder if it weather related or if they are messing with their antenna set up. I might have to make a Lo-VHF antenna and mount it next to my main antenna.
Re: WUDT 23
I'm picking up RF3 pretty good. No dropouts at all. My only complaint is the audio on 3.10 is VERY low compared to all the other channels. Well, that and the low bitrate they allocate to some of those channels.scifi and horror wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 11:45 am I don't even notice WUDT 23 signal since I delete it from my channel list anytime I am forced to do a rescan. Re: WUDT 23
WUDT has finally made their move back to RF 8. However, I had rescanned my HDTV and there's no sign of it. Did y'all rescan your converter boxes and/or HDTVs in order to pick up WUDT on RF 8?
