Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Thanks, Alex. I'm recalling now that his last restaurant wasn't in Livonia, as previously suggested, but in West Bloomfield Twp. He took over a former yogurt place across from Meijer on Haggerty between Maple & Pontiac Trail. After much hoopla & the usual great expectations, Ron, as is his wont, bailed in mere few months, complaining all the while about (long-scheduled) ongoing road construction & the Twp government. Maybe this one will be different.

Re: Ron Cameron
Why is Ron obsessed with losing money on these restaurants? Its like a gambler but his vice is opening up restaurants that quickly fold.1alexalway wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 5:29 pm I feel like I should break the news on the restaurant to this devoted set of listeners..Ron claims the new place will be in Commerce at 14 and Haggerty. Said the terms have been agreed to. So we'll see what he says Friday, but I was told it would be set by then

How does Ron have the money to lose on these restaurants
Re: Ron Cameron
And his butchering of ad copy. Reading day boat scallops as day old scallops!

Re: Ron Cameron
That never actually opened as his place. Just the frozen yogurt. Livonia was actually open after that, only for about 6 months.Momo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:41 pm Thanks, Alex. Not buying that any of his most recent restaurant ventures lasted as long as 6 months.

Re: Ron Cameron
The Knockout Pizza place on Plymouth was to help promote his wishful thinking as a boxing promoter about 4-5 years ago. I remember giving ideas for the place and he asked me about doing a mail promotion in Livonia which helped for a short time.

Re: Ron Cameron
Today is the day that Ron is supposed to drive to the imaginary Paczki Palace to get free donuts and possibly a check to be an advertiser for the much coveted Sportstalk program
Re: Ron Cameron
About the same time, Ron was also talking about some business interest in oldies music. That interest lasted maybe a couple of weeks.1alexalway wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 9:59 am The Knockout Pizza place on Plymouth was to help promote his wishful thinking as a boxing promoter about 4-5 years ago. Someone has to follow-up on this on Friday’s show.wtfdetroit wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 10:31 am Today is the day that Ron is supposed to drive to the imaginary Paczki Palace to get free donuts and possibly a check to be an advertiser for the much coveted Sportstalk program

I'm hoping Mr Positive who is an avid reader of this thread mentions the Paczki Palace and how Ron liked it and if they are a new sponsor.
Re: Ron Cameron
Mr. Positive, would you also be so kind as to inquire about the well-being of Ron's army of Friday morning insurance company callers? And about JJ of Trenton & Ken of Livonia? Would Ron insist that, like, allegedly, Gutterball Tony, they're all dead?!wtfdetroit wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 12:07 pm I'm hoping Mr Positive who is an avid reader of this thread mentions the Paczki Palace and how Ron liked it and if they are a new sponsor.

Re: Ron Cameron
Looks like the streaming option is not available right now, I heard there were troubles the other day. I doubt this will change so I will be catching the updates from the chat here. Hopefully it's fixed tomorrow?

I’m out of luck then. I usually stream it and the only radios I have are for the alarm clock and tv receiver and both of them need a am antenna which I never bothered to buy.
