This guy just happened to mention Dave from Warren was a closet Paczki eater and he was the first caller. Ron is so oblivious to this because he thinks he's going down to a bakery to eat free donuts on Wednesday. He can't put 2 and 2 together that this guy is messing with him. He didn't even give out the business address. Just said "Main Street".

Add to that McLain’s own items – two Cy Young Awards, his 1968 American League MVP Award and World Series ring.

When signing autographs at baseball card shows, however, McLain doesn’t wear the ring. He says it was stolen by a fellow player. And his most prized trophies – and Boudreau’s? All gone.

This article said Denny's World Series ring got stolen so he doesn't own it.

Poor Ron. Taking time from his so busy schedule to chase down this bakery.

And again the talk of his “great buddy” Terry Collins, when, in a rare moment of honesty, he said “he would know me.” But Ron’s interviews are always about hyping himself and/or his faux connection to others.

Are we getting a “kick” out of Phil Regan with Ron talking exclusively about himself?! I so wish a guest/caller would just hang-up on Ron when he starts talking non-stop about himself.

Before it was accidentally deleted, one of the first posts in this thread described Ron as looking like he was one step away from being homeless. So it may be that his clothes are his sole possessions. That and the saved phone numbers on scrap paper of all his many great friends.

I feel like I should break the news on the restaurant to this devoted set of listeners..Ron claims the new place will be in Commerce at 14 and Haggerty. Said the terms have been agreed to. So we'll see what he says Friday, but I was told it would be set by then
