My point is that the RATE of increase of new cases in the US as a whole should be significantly lower than in the hardest hit areas around the world. I'm just saying that given our land mass, there is a lot of the population that has social distancing already kind of built-in.

On a lighter note - with Mexico having relatively few cases, maybe they'll be the ones building and paying for the wall and Trump WILL keep his campaign promise in that regard.
You expecting us to run out of money? At this rate you could very well be right...

The statewide emergency notification update is suggesting that Bars and Restaurants will be asked to close with an Executive Order. It would be a Misdemeanor if an establishment chooses to ignore the order. Then let the the media take over. I personally have no problem letting people expose themselves as long as they agree to identify themselves as high risk. Anyone that stupid would have no problem infecting people.

None. They are a sovereign nation.
Whitmer's order includes casinos. You sure Soaring Eagle is exempt? Not that I care either way - more of a curiosity.

They are sovereign nation. She has no authority, but they might do it as not to be a lightning rod.
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

Now a note from your friendly neighborhood Foo Fighters who just postponed their tour:

Why say it ten sentences when you could say it in one?

I didn't read anything recently, I just knew.

Whitmer has now prohibited gatherings of 50 or more via EO.

What’s next? Banning gay sex?

Well, it would have stopped AIDS.
Your mass gay orgies are off... sorry bud.

I can't believe I'm saying thus, but you actually make a good point.

I'm still waiting for ANYBODY here to explain the metrics that should be used to decide when government should intervene to save lives and when it shouldn't.

Your question comes from a false premise. Government isn’t a monolithic block... it’s made up of people who say to their colleagues “what can we do to help” and they go from there... so you can’t set metrics. It’s case by case.

I thought you were against "shooting from the hip" or just taking things as they come?
