My point is that the RATE of increase of new cases in the US as a whole should be significantly lower than in the hardest hit areas around the world. I'm just saying that given our land mass, there is a lot of the population that has social distancing already kind of built-in.

On a lighter note - with Mexico having relatively few cases, maybe they'll be the ones building and paying for the wall and Trump WILL keep his campaign promise in that regard.

Your question comes from a false premise. Government isn’t a monolithic block... it’s made up of people who say to their colleagues “what can we do to help” and they go from there... so you can’t set metrics. It’s case by case.
