Nope, not “semi-retired.” Retired retired. From TV that is. He is still going to work, but not at that station.

It’s really sad when you look at it.

No on-air emotional sign off.

No party at the Capitol Theater.

Nothing from his employer wishing him well.

Just a Facebook post where he says in nearly 40 years he remembers interviewing George H. W. Bush and announcing a cell phone as a Blue Light Special at KMart.

Of course he gets a “it’s been a hell of a ride” from his former, now semi-retired former coworker. Can they guy get a sentence out without using profanity?

Not even so much as a mention from the station that he is no longer there. No well wishes. Nothing about “spending more time with family.”

Looking at the photos, I’m counting three people who attended his going away party.
