Did you build your car with your own hands, or did you depend on someone else to build it safely for you? Do you hunt and grow your own food, or did you depend on someone else to prepare it and deliver it to your grocery store for you? Do you drive on roads that someone else helped pay for and someone else build? Do you build your own computer and provide your own internet protocols, or are you trolling the Buzzboard as a result of someone else building that device and internet backbone for you?Chuck Davies wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 6:39 amBut you know what that’s their problem, How are these kids being raised? To be dependent on other people instead of themselves, Is Gen Z going to be a bunch of pussies and won’t own a car that’s really stupid especially in Detroit...
I've said it before Chuck Davies, I like you, but give me a break with this "dependent younger generation" bullshit. All generations are just as woven into societal dependence as any other, just in different ways. I see no problem in anybody wishing for a system where they don't need a car, can reallocate their resources elsewhere, and can help the environment and attempt to alleviate heavy traffic. Options are great, it gives freedom to choose, instead of being forced into the exact same routine as someone else.
I understood the Q-Line was to be part of a much bigger system for it to be financially viable. I hope that happens one day, where every bit of progress that is attempted isn't held back by people who constantly want more of the same as the past, where it hasn't worked, or pulling the plug on an investment too early, surely wasting all the resources that went into it.
