What a disaster! I remember watching bits and pieces of it on MTV, you could just tell something wasn't quite right. I think the watershed moment was Limp Bizkit's performance of Break stuff. 95 degree heat, non functioning bathroom, over priced crappy food, over priced water. Gee what could go wrong? Summer of 99 was brutal in terms of heat, at least here in NW Ohio I remember.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers did the Jimi Hendrix remake of "Fire" & then "Woodstock 99" was on fire & the show was over. Yep, former MTV's Kurt Loder & Serena Altschul (now on "CBS Sunday Morning") did the reporting & they said "We are getting out of here"!!
