Those who feel threatened by homosexuals - choosing to make fun of them, bully them, insult them, and in general make clear that THEY themselves aren’t gay - are very often closet gays living a secret double life in the darkest part of the closet. They are homosexuals who hate that part of themselves and do whatever they can to make clear to everyone that they are NOT gay.

Sad. But true.

And they very often are married with children. Their whole life is based on a lie.

Sexual orientation is not a choice. One is born that way. Deal with it. Start with kindness and love. Including love of self.

OK...So here's an idea. Most, if not all people, are hard wired to want to have sex. Are some peoole, like priests for example, nudged into gay sex because hetro sex isn't easily available to them and they're taking the easiest pathway?

I actually had Evangelical pastor Ted Haggard in mind... he was hell fire and brimstone against homosexuality and then got caught with a gay prostitute and a young church member with some crystal meth in the mix as I recall...

No need to defend my post which has lovinlife101 instantly apoplectic and listing false comparisons. Perhaps you’d be able to calm yourself, LL101 if you took time to educate yourself on this phenomenon - which is well documented in psychological literature. Or simply speak with psychotherapists about it.

Not all born with a homosexual orientation are happy about it. They often spend their lives doing everything they can to appear straight. Some feel they are successful in their put on. Some lead a secret other life. Some give up and come out. Others who give up kill themselves. Almost all suffer in this struggle for self acceptance. And many become clinically depressed.

Many people born heterosexual learn about this phenomenon when their own son or daughter - now teenaged or young adult - come out to them as gay. And many parents confide - they already thought it was a possibility when the child was much younger. Especially if their other children have a heterosexual orientation.
