Worst Cartoon You Can Remember Growing Up (Or In General)
Worst Cartoon You Can Remember Growing Up (Or In General)
I know this thread would probably be a better fit for the Vintage Detroit TV Board, but that's been gone for
a long time. My Question is what is the cheapest, most bottom of the barrel, most inane cartoon you can remember growing
up, (or in general ?) My two nominees are The Three Stooges cartoons made in the 60's by Cambria, and the Bozo Cartoons.
I didn't ever see these two growing up but their really bad.

Jot and Davey and Goliath two of the stupidest cartoons, but when you smoked some weed for some reason those two cartoons were cool especially with Zeppelin music in the background.Oh! one more this is really cool when you got a good buzz going, Kimba the White Lion while your listening to Black Sabbath Iron Man.GOOD Stuff Man!

I still have some old reels of Clutch on 16mm.
(no, that is not a bigger gun that a 9mm.)

You're never too old to learn something stupid.

The Only place I've seem Clutch Cargo is on You Tube, but I heard on another board that Channel 9 used to show therm in the 60's.
I once heard someone once describe It as "animation so limited that it's pretty much a film strip."
As a kid I remember seeing the Abbot And Costello cartoons, (made after Lou died) on Old 62. They weren't very good. They also showed the old Archie Cartoon. I think I prefer Riverdale.

Sharky & George (an old CINAR, now Cookie Jar, cartoon from the early 1990s). Used to watch it on Global and on YTV back in the day. the concept was corny and the animation quality was really bad. like... their budget for the whole series wouldn't even buy dinner.

Off the top of my head being a kid in the 60's would be.....Rocket Robinhood and the Marvel Superheroes /Capt America,Ironman etc. They barely moved.
The best imo.... Jonny Quest

Heres something I came across, old promos of some Sat morn. super heroes cartoons from the 60's.
This would be a great new OTA subchannel idea to bring these back for kids and adults alike to enjoy.

Minus the music, "The Beatles" cartoon series was terrible.

Seems to me that the characters were voiced by the same familiar VO talent that did dozens of other cartoons and foreign film English language tracks. Badly done efforts at Liverpudlian accents.Vic Doucette wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 2:18 pm Minus the music, "The Beatles" cartoon series was terrible.

Paul Frees was one of those voices who did a lot of voice work Among them were Boris Badenov and Superpresident. I don't know if he did The Beatles Cartoons though.
(I am a major fan of Rocky And Bullwinkle but the animation wasn't exactly Fantasia. The writing made it work.)

I LOVED Clutch Cargo and the Beatles animated cartoon .Roger Ramjet was dumb, though, probably because Roger himself was no Rhodes scholar.
