Re: Another TV5 departure
All 101 needs to learn is that although he (or whatever) has the right to say whatever he (or whatever) wants, that doesn't mean that he (or whatever) needs to say everything that comes to his (or whatever) mind. Smart people know when to shut up. It's not about being silenced, it's about being smar...

Re: Bill Harris retiring
Oh, and here’s a crazy idea, instead of putting all your eggs in Hotrod Harris’ basket, why not try to build up talent to replace him? Instead of simply, “Bill ain’t here no mo,” why not have fanfare and promos with the new main anchor and a passing of the baton? I know, that’s too much to ask. We ...

I miss the days when it was acceptable to preempt for live local sports on free tv.

I say let the stations be dropped. They will be the ones suffering from lack of viewership. Fools.

Why is it summers eve wouldn’t it be springs eve? Really? THE Hacksaw Jeff Dugan!? My nephews used to watch you back in the 80s! How’ve you been? The “Hacksaw” was Jim Duggan(look it up I just did) 😝 He has 2g’s in his last name. That was just 101 trying to be funny, or a bully, depending on who yo...

Re: Mitch Albom proves once again he's a piece of shit
Do we have to cover the difference in journalism between an article and a column? The crap that LL101 posts on here daily is akin to a column; just an opinion. Articles are for the who/what/when/where/why/how facts. I don't even care about Mitch Albom or what he wrote, but this is fundamental stuff!

Re: Here we go again :/
I'm on the side of the providers. Why should they pay to re transmit channels that are supported by advertisers? You'd think the broadcasters would want all the eyeballs on them that they can get via any means.

Re: A movie on NBC?
All of this is true, but it's not a weekly (or multiple times per week) thing like it was in the 70s. I remember NBC having "night at the movies" every Sunday and Monday (after "Little House") and CBS and ABC having them at least weekly, if not more frequently.

Re: Lulli 2, WNEM 0
Union or not, Michigan is an "at will employment" State. It's a terrible law (in my opinion) that only benefits employers while leaving employees vulnerable and often screwed. "At will" worked in my favor, cause it got me out of my noncompete scott free, where the station owners sued everyone else....

I said it about the entire thread. But, if you want to consider it singling you out and "bullying" you, go ahead. That's your thing.lovinlife101 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:15 amYou say that after my thoughtful, logical, well-reasoned argument and not TeddyGrahams’ ignorant musings? Quite telling.
