Time to Vote

The Presidential Election is less than two weeks away, but you can cast your vote today for “Worst TV General Manager”. I think Flint has several potential nominees. Email ftvlive@gmail.com with your vote. I cast my vote for former 25-66 accountant in chief/egomaniac Chad Conklin who has now taken h...

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

The. “Town Hall” was taped today at COVID central — aka the White House Rose Garden. Why are they delaying running the town hall for more than 24 hours? Let’s just say it gives Sinclair some time for creative editing. The “VP of News” Scott Livingston doesn’t want to show anything that might be emba...

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

Realist: I am fine with either scenario: that they grow a spine and do what’s right... or quit in opposition of running this crap. What I’m not OK is that these “managers” who are charged with protecting the well-being of their employees sit by and allow the credibility of the station be run into th...

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

We get daily emails, phone calls, and social media comments from viewers calling us biased. And then our company only reinforces it by airing this town hall filled with softball questions hosted by a partisan hack.

The response from 25-66 management? Crickets.

My company is run by idiots.

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

More details... Sinclair is using the White House for this election “town hall” — pretty sure that breaks some federal laws about not using federal property for election activities. Yet the White House still won’t say who has come down with COVID-19 at a time when they are inviting the public in to ...

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

Sinclair is clearly trying to “Swift Boat” Biden by using a Fox network flunkee to moderate this faux town hall. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2020/10/19/back-to-2004-for-sinclair-broadcasting And if Bolling can’t get basic facts right, he and his Executive Producer should be fired... otherwise ...

Re: How bad are Sinclair’s Michigan TV stations?

WTVG is a good station, especially for its size. Gray tends to let its stations run themselves without the level of micromanagement that you see from Sinclair. However that means you need competent local GMs... unlike WJRT’s Pete Veto who ruined ABC 12 by letting go top talent and popular news Direc...

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

If either candidate can’t handle some tough questions, they don’t deserve to run for the nation’s highest office. It’s ridiculous that in a company the size of Sinclair that they can’t get a real journalist instead of a hack like Eric Bolling to conduct this town hall. It’ll be all anti-Biden and so...

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

Bolling doesn’t have any credibility as an impartial journalist. He’s been a key spreader of COVID 19 misinformation. Even Sinclair has had to correct several of his lies: https://www.baltimoresun.com/coronavirus/bs-md-sinclair-broadcast-coronavirus-commentary-20201016-emd6qjnqd5gs7lugmoyzhywqyq-sto...

Wonder if Eric will press Trump on past sexual misconduct allegations? That might hit too close to home for Bolling...

CW 46 Trump Town Hall

In his non-stop effort to find a friendly forum, President Trump will sit down with Sinclair lackey Eric Bolling next Wednesday: https://deadline.com/2020/10/donald-trump-sinclair-broadcast-group-eric-bolling-1234599080/ The town hall with the Spreader in Chief will air on Flint’s CW 46... a day bef...

Re: How bad are Sinclair’s Michigan TV stations?

WPBN is a small market training ground. They’re small enough where they get overlooked. However the good ones —like Kristen Lowe — only need to survive a contract cycle before moving on up. WPBN has always been second fiddle to 9&10 and will continue to be until Sinclair is out of the picture. If 25...

Re: How bad are Sinclair’s Michigan TV stations?

Matt: good and fair question. I go to work every day. I do my job well. I suggest improvements to my supervisor. I go well above what is required of me. So do my coworkers. We’ve played the game... only to see management constantly make poor decisions that have driven the station into the ground. I ...

Re: How bad are Sinclair’s Michigan TV stations?

In recent years, 25-66 partnered up with WWMT and WPBN to hire a Lansing reporter to cover happenings at the State Capital. Mikenzie Frost, Nick Minock were able to cover elections, state legislation and its impact on our local communities. Now? (Crickets)
