Re: 1130 "The Fan" to disappear- iHeart launching new network

I listened to it for a bit. There needs to be a hell of a lot more effort put into this if iHeart wants this to last...

Re: I'm so tired of this bullshit ...

Someone does the right thing and a couple of assholes jump on him... Jesus Christ... UP906 and Lucky615 (or whatever the fuck your name is) -- are you sure you both weren't looking in the mirror when you called Vic a Karen? He isn't even close to being one...and considering this *does* strongly affe...

When it comes to speeding up music excessively, the former 94.3 the Bone takes the cake.
What format did it have, again? Alt? Seems like a format where pitching/speeding up music would be verboten...

I suppose, if I drew two such lines, the point where they intersect would be dead centre
That's the method I was taught in high school...it seems to be preferred by most. I would prefer an equation, but that was never taught if I remember correctly...

Re: Worst-sounding radio stations of all-time.

All of the Sirius-based stations and 1/3 of the XM-based stations. If you have the 2.0 SXM tuner, they don't sound too bad. I wish they'd just shift everything over to that system, but that won't happen for a long time... I agree with you on WWJ, especially when you lock them in HD. Way too much lo...

Possibility of a weather subforum?

Since weather is often brought up here, is adding a weather subforum possible? I think it would be nice for us weather weenies to have a place where we can have discussions that range from basic, ordinary banter to more in-depth, scientific discussions. I'd love to hear MW's position on this, as wel...

Linux: who here uses it?

Anyone a user of Linux? I installed openSUSE on an old MacBook a few months back, and I'm impressed at how well it performs. I had used Linux before on some old machines, but it was always a "beginner" distro like Linux Mint or Ubuntu. openSUSE blows both of those out of the water, as far as I'm con...

Re: I Can't Seem To Delete This

The IT Crowd is a classic.

As for the issue, I'm nowhere near a Comcast DVR, but maybe it has the whole series recorded, not just one episode? That could be the issue.

Honest question: aren't there alternate methods they could use to deliver the feed to the transmitter, like an IP STL to Southfield? The phone line method never seemed the most reliable to me...and is that what causes the crosstalk I hear on KEC63 all the time? Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

Biden will just end up picking Barack Obama anyhow. As for CNN, I give them full credit for being able to switch from politics to reporting hard news last night. They have solid street reporters that, when allowed to do so, are willing and able to get their hands and feet dirty covering breaking ne...

Re: Transitioning to new graphics for WXYZ

I'm okay with the graphics. Not the best, but not the worst. The music, however, makes me want to jam pencils in my ears. The old music was just fine.
