Re: 92.5 WFDX Gaylord sold

Northern Christian Radio is not a surprise considering WPHN has a CP to move to the tower that WFDX is on. Since WSRT went for $125,000, I wonder if the WFDX price also includes the tower and the land around it. With the prices for WSRT and WFDX, I think the Henderson stations would only go for ...

Re: AM 830 WMMI

It is interesting to note that WMMI's original construction permit for 830 had it licensed to Marshall with 2.5kw day only. In 1986. the CP was modified to change city of license, etc. to Shepard.

Keep in mind that WLNS/WLAJ has a 15+ mile advantage in your direction vs. WSYM (or WILX for that matter).

Re: Look at all the FCC silent notifications in N. Michigan...

I did see that a 100.7 was dropped in at Bear Lake after 99.9 was assigned to Custer. If that allocation gets moved toward TC, then another station would likely have to backfill and change its COL to Bear Lake (likely WIAA or WTCM-FM) I can't imagine anyone with any common sense moving another ...

They're selling WJMN. If anything, it very reduces their ownership footprint, albeit slightly.

The best guess from those who were on site the day of the fire points to the generator, which may have been on due to high winds taking out the utility power. This certainly isn't the first time a generator has taken out a facility.

Re: UP High School Radio Station Loses Frequency To Bigger Station

It seems like a displaced Class D station can move to another frequency, even a Commercial channel, between 92-108 MHz. There are a lot of vacant Canadian allotments, but if the 34 dBu F(50,10) doesn't reach Canadian land, they could use it. A lot of applications and grants have been made recently ...
