Michigan sign stealing scandal
Re: Michigan sign stealing scandal
Matt - are you suggesting MSU's coach should have been suspended for the actions of his players?
Re: Michigan sign stealing scandal
No - I also don't think the current suspension should have happened.

Re: Michigan sign stealing scandal
Does anyone but Matt really think that Stalions was running around on Michigans sidelines calling out the play and all of the coaches, including Jimmy, didn't know exactly why he knew all of the plays? It's pure fantasy to think the entire staff wasn't 100% in on it and even the players knew what they were doing. They have a bunch of transfers on that team, those transfers would know that what Michigan was doing with stealing signals was totally different than what they were doing at their old schools.

Well there is the Big Ten who did an investigation and didn't find an indication that Harbaugh knew.Rate This wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 12:18 pmAbsolutely not. You're a sensible man Craig, and you follow UM football. Do you believe he had no idea what was going on with Stalions? You have seen Stalions on the sidelines having in-game conversations with the OC, the DC, and JH. Doesn't it strain credibility that a micro-manager like Harbaugh would not be aware of what's going on?

Your “strong statement” reads like the beginning of him hawking a product to stop the investigation:Matt wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 5:05 pmPretty strong statement from Regent Acker: https://twitter.com/JordanAckerMI/statu ... Emsfg&s=19
Do they hire PIs because they can't beat you, whine to the commissioner to enact extraordinary measures without precedent?

What the Big 10 said when they first imposed the 3 game suspension was...
Did Harbaugh know? I can believe his underlings pulled it off on their own. That is not too much of a stretch for me.Effective immediately, the University football team must compete without its Head Football Coach for the games remaining
in the 2023 regular season. This disciplinary action shall not preclude the University or its
football team from having its Head Football Coach attend practices or other football team
activities other than the game activities to which it applies.
We impose this disciplinary action even though the Conference has not yet received any
information indicating that Head Football Coach Harbaugh was aware of the impermissible
nature of the sign-stealing scheme. This is not a sanction of Coach Harbaugh. It is a sanction
against the University
It seems to me if the Big 10 thought he knew the penalty would have been stiffer.
When the NCAA is done we shall see. If they decided he knew I wouldn't be shocked.
I'm just saying as you and Rate This pile on Matt for being delusional keep in mind the only institution that has completed an investigation to date did not finger Harbaugh. He was the logical fall guy for the University.

Re: Michigan sign stealing scandal
I might add that if Michigan parted ways with Harbaugh after this season my only hesitation is whether Michigan can shake the old coaching tree and find a juicy replacement.

If they shake any coaching trees lets get somebody who vaguely knows the colors are maize and blue... no more Michigan Men (TM).craig11152 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 12:28 pmI might add that if Michigan parted ways with Harbaugh after this season my only hesitation is whether Michigan can shake the old coaching tree and find a juicy replacement.
