And that's up about 3000 points from your original post. Kinda like it fluctuates, huh?
Always wise to listen to financial advice from someone whose biggest investment was buying his daughters virginity.

My knuckles aren't white. I'm a working class Socialist.
I don't mean to brag, but I just put a puzzle together in 1 day and the box said 2-4 years.

Umm, I used the term White Knuckle Ride which clearly indicates flux, so don't be smack.
BTW it was 34,365 when I made original post and is currently at 32,283. It went down 1000 today.

If you day traded you'd have been happy with your hedges at the moment. Someone always wins at the market.

It used to move 300 points, that was 3 percent and nobody batted an eye.

The market lost a mere 78 billion in value today. It's not that significant.

And if it was at 10,000 that would be a move… but losing 2 or 3% in a day used to be not horribly uncommon. It’s at 31,000… 1276 is nothing. The total number is so high that it gives the appearance of having lost a lot when it really hasn’t. Dropping a thousand just ain’t what it used to be.

The biggest sticking point there is a new attendance policy that assigns points for not showing up or missing work… things like that. You get a bank of 30 points and are subject to termination when you run out. Trouble is they have been giving them points for missing work for medical appointments and other legitimate reasons to miss work. The Union is not amused. We shall see if they actually strike or not.

Just peachy… the real issue is labor-management relations at the moment.

It's the choice of God apparently. But we're an Oligarchy here in the U. S.

The capitalists get nervous when workers collectively start to flex their muscles.
