Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
Not one, but both of them. As of the lunch hour drive today (Monday), both 730KHz WJYM and 1520KHz WPAY had NO RF at all. Perhaps WPAY is powered-down so that WJYM can take some measurements? But then again, not just dead air, but dead RF from both and no power outage in the Township AFAIK, traffic light working at Lime City and RT20. Anyone with any inside scoop? FWIW, nothing on 106.9MHz yet either.
Was WPAY for sale as well as WJYM?

Re: Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
WOHO, is WJYM for sale??
Re: Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
I am assuming that the reason for the new FM translator for WJYM is to make it saleable? Assumption only, I knew one was for sale but not for sure. It would be a whole lot better for 730 AM if their SW teardrop started on the Stateline, or Luna Pier so their AM coverage would include the City of Toledo, rather than BG and Lima?
Re: Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
It's the AM to FM repeater rule. In Toiletto, HD stations use it to get ratings and/or inventory $. WSPD uses it also on 92.9. AM is dying.WOHO wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 7:16 pmI am assuming that the reason for the new FM translator for WJYM is to make it saleable? Assumption only, I knew one was for sale but not for sure. 1520 is still off as of now. 92.1 has a weird noise when you tune it in.
Re: Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
its back on, with k-love 90s. It could be Fusion is testing there new set up, like Delmarva was with 106.5 or it could be nothing.

Does the weird noise sound like KOMA and WWKB fighting with each other?radioandtventhusiast wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 12:33 pm1520 is still off as of now. 92.1 has a weird noise when you tune it in.
Re: Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
1520 WAS on the air last week, but haven't head them on the air Monday PM or Tuesday. Didn't check the translator. Is it 104.1 or 92.1 ?

Re: Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
WPAY supposedly is going to return to the air with a translator at 94.1 MHz in the near future. The rumor is the new format will be "Dance CHR," whatever that is. Perhaps a sound like the long defunct Q96.9?
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Found their construction permit for 94.1 FM with more than their putrid 10 watts on 92.1 MHz. Website stunting with a Christmas in July format?

That's what it seemed like when I learned about Fusion Radio a few months ago.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:15 pmWPAY supposedly is going to return to the air with a translator at 94.1 MHz in the near future. Re: Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
Still no RF from 1520 KiloHertz, so no WPAY; likewise, no activity on 106.9 MegaHertz for the WJYM translator although even the tower fence is there, just no paint job on the new tower1.
Re: Perrysburg Township AM's off the air
Looking at FCC apps, it appears that 1520 is including their low powered 92.1 translator, but now, if it's a typo or not, showing the 2nd translator on channel 277 or 103.3MHz. Wondering if it's a mistake as the FM they are swapping out of state with EMF in on 103.3 there, so confused about the 94.1 not shown in the July 15th paperwork? And as of Sunday night, August 1st, still no RF on 1520KHz.
UPDATE: AUGUST 3rd STA issued to go silent for the new owners as of July 16th as they might need to update equipment (on the newest AM station in the market?)
