Songs with no lyrics to receive Top 40 airplay
Songs with no lyrics to receive Top 40 airplay
I can't think of many, but 2 songs come to mind:
Robert Miles - Children (1995)
Mission Impossible Theme Remix (1996)
What other songs with no lyrics (or virtually no lyrics) have received any kind of significant airplay on an AC or Top 40 station?

Are we referring to any specific time period? I can think of some from the 60’s-80’s, such as Classical Gas, Love’s Theme, Breezin’, Grazin’ in the Grass, Rise, Theme from Beverly Hills Cop, The Sound of Philadelphia.

I'm more curious about the 80s onward, but any time 1960s and on is fine. I can't think of any in the past 10 years - closest one that almost qualifies is Martin Garrix - Animals.

Wasn't the Hot 100 hit, but the most famous version.
Bert was included in "One Week" by BNL.

All four of these songs hit top 5 on the Hot 100, with the last three going all the way to #1
