All the facepalm emojis in the world can't sum up how I feel. None of their songs are what I'd deem "classic", but clearly that's why I'm not in radio.

Playing songs with high negative scores is unwise.

WOMC has been playing the song for a year and a half and their ratings are not taking a nosedive.
However, that Evanesance song they keep playing is rather annoying and takes me right out of the listening experience.

Also, I don't think "How You Remind Me" is an issue people have with Nickelback. That's the kind of music fans of them loved. it was their mid 2000s mom rock like "Photograph" that people don't like

Because they changed from Post-Grunge music to "mom rock", to try and keep their appeal, as that kind of rock music did not survive past the early 2000s.

the mid to late 2000s saw top 40 music taking a more urban turn, and the only rock that survived was playing on the AC stations, so they decided to ride that wave.

I remember channel 955 feeling like a hip hop/r&b station by the end of 2006
