“Scuba Steve” from MS Cancels Plans to Unleash Pigs in Dearborn

Unread post by MotorCityRadioFreak »

For those who don’t know, a stupid hick from Mississippi was planning to transport pigs from Tupelo to Dearborn and let them loose in the streets. All because pigs are unclean to Muslims. The whole thing was speculated to be a hate crime as well as animal rights violations.

More:
Just one hour after TCD News reported that the FBI is investigating a surge of threats targeting Arab Americans and Muslims in Dearborn, a man known online as “Scuba Steve” abruptly canceled his previously announced plans to bring thousands of pigs to the city.

The planned action had sparked concern because it appeared specifically aimed at Dearborn’s large Muslim community, with pigs being used because pork is prohibited in Islam.

Michigan law makes ethnic intimidation a crime in certain circumstances when a person maliciously and intentionally targets someone because of their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin. Depending on the conduct involved, threats, intimidation, harassment or other actions targeting Muslims because of their religion could potentially raise questions under state or federal law.

However, whether the planned pig event itself would constitute ethnic intimidation or another crime would depend on the specific circumstances, and no determination has been announced that the organizer committed such an offense.

The cancellation came shortly after news of the FBI’s involvement in investigating threats against the community became public. There is currently no evidence establishing that the FBI investigation caused the cancellation.

State Rep. Alabas Farhat has urged community members to preserve and report anything they believe could constitute a threat as authorities review recent incidents targeting Dearborn’s Arab American and Muslim communities.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

NEVER EVER COMPLY WITH FASCISM!!!

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.
