Just saw a job posting from Tenga looking for a new Chief Met at WZZM. Any word on why Sam would be leaving?

Contract not renwed or Sam knew time to get out and would've lost her job whenever Nexstar takes over TEGNA, which is a holding company until the courts decide to end the merger or a settlement where Nexstar sells more overlaps. Which I feel they'll sell more overlaps and settle in my opinion. All the best Sam in the next chapter or if she stays in the business I wouldn't blame her if she is getting out.

I happened to just notice that her Facebook profile picture was updated today. I'm unsure where the background is from. Then again, I believe her previous one had the past 9 & 10 marble studio building outside Cadillac (originally built as the Kysor headquarters) as the setting.

Guessing she is choosing family over career. It wasn't that long ago she gave birth, Not sure where she and her husband are from but it's possible they are moving home.

Anything new, I haven't heard her say yet she is leaving but job opening is still listed. My guess she's stepping away and spend more time with family.

Based on Sam's one post, it sounds like she realized she couldn't balance both a TV career and motherhood in a way that one didn't suffer. She also realized that her daughter only grows up once.

But did that job posting explicitly say "chief meteorologist"? They still hired someone in advance of George's retirement to fill the roster spot, but Sam was ultimately given the "chief" promotion.
