Did WKLT change format?!

Unread post by MWmetalhead »

Why am I hearing Slipknot on their stream right now?

Not complaining; they're one of my favorite bands. :)

Never thought in a million years KLT would play a very heavy nu metal artist like that one!

Edit:
They evidently do a hard rock & metal show on Friday nights now. Cripes, now I'm hearing Slayer. I'm impressed. Hell has literally frozen over

I am unsure if any music changes have been made in other dayparts.

For crusty KLT to be playing these artists at all is a massive (and enjoyable) surprise to me.

I don't believe Rock 105 / 95.5 even does a metal show.

Don't worry the fan favorites like Green Day and Everclear will be back after the specialty show.

Nah. For KLT, Joe Walsh and Cheap Trick fit the bill.

That's true, but there was a period of time that WKLT was playing a song from Green Day daily. I have even noticed WDRV in Chicago doing the same sometimes.

WKLT just influenced the booking of David Lee Roth for the Cherry Festival. That station is the king of County Fair acts...

TC Talks, there are several places on line to speak your political views. I don't care about Republicans, farmers, or the cherry festival. Just want to read about radio here. Thanks.

Totally agree, let's talk radio Jimmy. Midwestern Broadcasting spews Republican bigotry and hate daily via WTCM, and Omelette certainly tows the MAGA line with his "callers", I feel like my comments are completely in line against what Ross has been selling for years. Need I remind you that Dave Barr (former President of NCF) was one of Ross's henchmen before getting shown the door? It's all a smelly swap, and all radio.

Here's the funny thing; city officials and many downtown merchants would be happy if the Cherry Festival went away. Sales tax revenue actually goes down in the main retail district for those 10 days. Some stores close, and it is typically the highest crime week of the year. As you know, Republicans=Deplorables.
