Prayers for Vic

This is a subject I've been very hesitant to post in the last month or so.

For one it is very sad,and since I know he reads this board,I did not want any negative comments.

For those of you that don't know,Vic McCarty of News talk 580 is fighting stage 4 cancer, you can read about his story on the Vic McCarty show Facebook page.

Sounds like he is in his final days.Again so very sad.If you are the praying type , please pray for his peace.He is greatly missed on the radio and I know he will be greatly missed after he passes by those close to him.

That's sad news. Vic has been here forever. He worked his way up to Sports director at 7-4 then after leaving, was at Northern for a while before working his over to TCM.

I'm sorry to hear of his health challenges. Praying for a recovery. I do remember him doing sports on TV 7&4 a long time ago and he also was a news desk anchor at NewsNET when it was based in Cadillac.

Vic always seems very affable, with a fun demeanor, which is infectious. I think anyone who listened to him will feel the loss, not just those close to him. The loss will be felt throughout the community...

Sad to hear. He gave the ol' college try as sole anchor of Fox33's obligatory 10 O'clock News when, I believe, it was still Rockfleet.

As I'm writing this post,my heart is beating hard and I have tears in my eyes. I'm very regrettably writing that Vic has passed on earlier today.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Vic was one hell of a broadcaster,he will very sorely be missed.

I, too, remember him at both 7&4 and Fox 33. I did not know he was at NewsNET or WTCM.
