92 KQRS Twin Cities Re-Launch

Hey, some of us like to talk about happenings in other areas of the country, too. Here's the place to do it.

Will be interesting to see how this goes. Cool idea but will it alienate long time listeners?
Set preset button 1 to 94.7fm... Everyone's making the switch to 94.7...

Great decision. All classic rock stations should have made this move 15 years ago.

Classic rock stations in 1995: Playlists consists of songs from roughly 1970-1985

Classic rock stations in 2025 (30 years later): Playlists consist of songs from roughly 1970-1985, with a couple hair band songs and a Foo Fighter song thrown in to sound hip.

Prince is not rock, but Minneapolis can make an exception.

I like KQ's revised sound a lot. This will hopefully help them recapture some listenership that defected to 104.1 Jack FM or perhaps even 89.3 The Current.

The musical shift is risky, no doubt. I hope it succeeds for them.

KLOS in Los Angeles tried a similar sound for a brief time in the not too distant past, but they've since backed off most of the non-grunge alternative gold they had been playing.
Trump is too stupid to know what "reciprocal" means.
