Insider Advantage (you know, the most accurate polling firm at predicting this past election's results) also has it Trump 56-39.

I tend to agree that his ceiling is probably somewhere in this range. But be honest - did you ever once think he'd be again sitting at an approval rating in the mid-50s?

Also somebody else in here said this was his honeymoon phase. Fair enough, but his numbers weren't this high when he came into office in 2016.

As I recall he started in the low 50’s then. A couple more people are giving him the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately everything Trump touches dies so he’ll yet find a way to fuck it up.

From what I can find, Rasmussen was the only pollster in his first few months who had him over 50. His RCP average was in the mid-40s.

Rasmussen actually bases the index on strongly approve vs. strongly disapprove:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-three percent (43%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 38% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 35% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of +3.

We're citing Rasmussen?
283,000,000 Americans didn't vote for Trump.

We don’t have much choice at this juncture either… believe it or don’t they actually had a generally higher Biden approval than nearly anybody else.

Shitting on Rasmussen? Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't they one of the few pollsters who got the 2024 election right? They very consistently had the national race at Trump +2 (with one +1 and one +3 in there), and final result was Trump +1.5.

Just curious - how about you tell us which pollsters are worth citing? And then let's see how well they did predicting the 2024 Presidential race. I'll wait....

Popularity polls have no relationship with voter polls. As the Orange Turd is supposed to be representing the entire country, these polls are much broader in scope. Gallup and Harris come to mind. I am curious what our resident polling expert (Rate This) has to say.

I want to see some other pollsters... but they haven't spit anything out. Economist / YouGov... Reuters / Ipsos that sort of thing. Gallup doesn't seem to play the daily tracking game anymore.
