I can’t understand why anyone thought it would be a good idea to put this guy on the radio or let him host on tv other than being a guest for legal advice. I can’t change the channel fast enough when I hear his awful, raspy, rusty voice.

He sounds like Grandpa Simpson taking a shit.

What he has to say though usually isn’t bad. Now if you want to complain about a Charlie you even get spotted the L but it’s spelled LeDuff. Or is it LeDoofus?

Never heard how that Charlie made out in his domestic violence trial.

ETA: nevermind, just read that his wife refused to testify.

Charlie got his chops at TV Warren. I am and have always been a fan. He was a pro even doing community access election night coverage.

I like Charlie. He is an intelligent local guy who went to Michigan schools, and his degrees in Theater and Law prepared him well for his radio and TV gigs. His voice is just that way. Not everyone has to have a smooth newscaster voice to be in media!

Exactly.

Charlie Langton does a good job, and obviously enjoys his work.

Charlie is going to also be the Master of Ceremonies for the Eastside Alano Club Dinner on January 11th. For those who don't know, they are a club to help those with addiction. They have AA(alcoholic's anonymous), NA(narcotics anonymous), and gambling anonymous groups. The dinner will be from 6-10 PM at the Michigan Regional Carpenters and Millwright Banquet Hall in Warren and also have a comedy act from Shawntay Dalon of the Detroiters as the main feature. The hall is on Mound Rd. near Stephens. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at (586) 757-9123. Call with any questions.

Somehow that seems like a business decision on the part of the club…

It's also a reason I go to AA and not NA. AA meetings in Ann Arbor will allow drug addicts at the tables. Most AA meetings will ask you to leave if you had a drug problem. I don't like the philosophy of NA, not to mention a majority of the type of person that goes to NA.

An alcoholic has a car but no license, a drug addict has a license but no car 😆

That’s funny… until now I was unaware that both Narcotics and Gambling had their own versions of AA… very interesting.

Well, NA literally saved my childhood friend from certain death.

That's absolutely wonderful, and I'm glad for him! I tried NA and it just wasn't working for me. The guys I met in AA held my feet to the fire. I think it's because most NA programs allow MAT and count relapses as part of the program. I had to keep away or I wouldn't be here at all.

If you watch Charlie on the weekends you have to feel sorry for his quests. He ask's dumb questions and act's like every story is about him. I've heard his co-hosts try to cover for him but it never works. He sure has gone through co-hosts on the weekend show, must be tough to work with.
