Apologies to Graham Wellington, who first broke this news. His thread and many others were lost yesterday (October 16) due to a botched software install on my part, which required restoration of the site using a 36 hour old backup copy.

One of the facets in a restored thread is learning what you didn't know, in that Terri's Jacobs Financial involvement is now as a client, we certainly saw her on their billboards but the man and his blocks of ice and other ads will persist.

Pretty hard to break off 30+ years of broadcast involvement cold turkey, so I congratulate Terri on working into a suitable arrangement in the market! Larry Figurski continues on the WOOD/Griffins calls with Bob Kaser, many others who were in TV or radio have podcasts, do the social hosting for big entities or develop other ways to scratch that itch.

The past 72 hours have been a learning experience for me. The last software update was five years ago. After this week's frustrating experience, I hope it is another five years (or more) before I do the next one.

next time right before you do an update, make an immediate backup?

As for Terri coming to 17, this will put them back at 5 meteorologists counting Phone It In Fish. This is how many they had before Isabella and Candace both got the axe and Haley left to focus on her health. Hopefully nobody working in studio gets the axe. Fish would be my pick to get booted-no other meteorologist in this market has ever made me reach for the remote to change the channel.

Kevin Craig is fine. The one WXMI need to ditch is Fish. He stinks like alewives that wash up on the shoreline.
