20 years of Sashem Braindead on WTVG
Why are they even celebrating this idiot being on the air for 20 years. She sucks. And unlike the perky bubbly persona she portrays on the air, according to people who used to work at 13 she's an enormous diva and pain in the ass to work with.

If she is so good at WTVG, why is she still there? Why hasn't she jumped to a bigger market? While stability is key, stability and more money in a major is always an early goal of most broadcasters. She's awful.

Re: 20 years of Sashem Braindead on WTVG
I remember the one time she had to do something resembling actual journalism instead of just giggling at fluff items and reading PR statements from Promedica and Stellantis. There was a pretty substantial snowstorm on 12/23/22, bad enough that 13 preempted "The Nine" at 9 am to go with weather coverage. She was LOST and actually snarled "Could I get some direction here?" on the air.
No wonder she can't even get off the morning shift, let alone move to a bigger market.

I'm probably one of the few here that seems to like Sashem. For one, morning personalities tend to be more perky and bubbly compared to their evening counterparts. Not just in Toledo, but even on the national level. I know quite a few people in Toledo who like her.
Sashem was the noon anchor for quite a few years too, and was also 5:30 evening cohost for a period after Rob Powers moved to NYC, so in 20 years, she's done more than just morning coanchor. Plus, many Toledo media personalities love the city and don't want to move to a bigger market, even if they really could.
If you stay at the same employer for 20 years, I want to believe you're doing something right, although I've seen examples of other people in various work positions where I wonder how they've kept their same position.

There are plenty of people on the air in Toledo that have overstayed their welcome. Both on Radio and Television.

There's hardly anyone left on the radio to be overstaying anymore. Denny and John(n)y D will be around probably till terrestrial radio is shut down and reduced to Andrew Z trying to hijack a Christian station's signal thoughHitRadio98 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 5:30 pm There are plenty of people on the air in Toledo that have overstayed their welcome. TV, yeah. Jeff Smith and Melissa "The Joker" Andrews are among those almost as bad as Sashem Braindead.

Hijack?
Psalm 139:13 ~ For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
Jeremiah 1:5 ~ "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you;
Exodus 20:13 ~ “You shall not murder."

On the radio side there are quite a few people that remain that have overstayed their welcome besides Denny and Johnny, Fred, Mookie, Becky Shock, Eric Chase, just to call out a few.CurlyHoward wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 7:08 pmThere's hardly anyone left on the radio to be overstaying anymore.
