An observation I made re: Trump signs

Unread post by MotorCityRadioFreak »

I had errands to run this afternoon and saw several garage sales over here in NE Warren which I decided to visit; there are Trump signs everywhere in several subs. Probably around 8 in a square mile including 3 homemade ones with 1 being Trump raising his arms after being struck with the bullet. I realize that Kamala won't have yard signs yet(if at all), but I sincerely don't remember this many Trump signs in 2020.

Still zero on Kamala signs.
Lots of Trumps signs.
Some Kennedy signs.

I'm not sure what that means, if anything, but I do think the Trump voter is more apt to put up a sign than a Harris/Biden voter.

We see what some Trump voters do to the American Capitol, God knows what they would do to a 3 bedroom colonial.

Warren isn’t exactly a hotbed of inclusive minded white people. Trumpers get their signs out quickly… I saw a Kamala shirt on a lady at Metro right around the time of the rally there. But fortunately yard signs don’t vote.

Picked up mine today. Trump has more signs than Biden, and we saw how that turned out.
283,000,000 Americans didn't vote for Trump.

NE Warren is very purple and several precincts here are bellwethers, meaning they usually pick the winners. More specifically, this includes the precincts between 12 and 13 from Hoover to Hayes which is where I was.

It absolutely is true. Scroll down to Warren precincts 35-58 for the 2020 Presidential election. Purple as hell. I watch trends like a hawk.

I would never put a politician’s name on a sign in my yard, or on a bumper sticker attached to my car. It would be a mistake to assume that means I am not a passionate voter.

I am saying with a new top of the ticket in the last month and a different racial composition of that person plus 4 years of time it may not be a bellweather anymore. Ohio and Missouri were too but not anymore.

Well, those same precincts didn't vote for Hillary. Warren has the sun down town history but not as much now unless police are involved. It's a lot more racially diverse now which is great.

I still remember when a POC moved on to my grandparents' block in the early 90s. 10 and Hoover. The words I heard being thrown around...wow.

Yes, and that area is now 50-50 White compared to other ethnicities now. My area is probably 65% white, 20% AA, and 15% other.

I grew up at 10 and Mound so I know exactly what you mean. 1994 Warren and 2024 Warren are two different animals.
